My new Rancid Sounds podcast is up n running HERE, with Buster Shuffle, Argy-Bargy, Broken Doll, Long Tall Shorty, Penetraitors, the Communicators, Israelvis and many more... A cheap and cheerful guerilla TV version of Bushell on the Box is running exclusively on the Daily Star website: HERE. This pilot episode filmed on June 1st 2009 features Star babe Lucie Self, Dave Lee, Susan Boyle (allegedly), Mickey the Malicious Monkey, the Gonads performing 'Oi Mate', Bushside the soap, and a dubious looking woman claiming to be Heather Trott's sister Heavier - an idea Harry Hill ripped off, but I'll forgive him because he's hilarious. Future editions will include entertainers neglected by TV. Memo to viewers: it costs a fortune to look this cheap.

What does Bushell stand for? The Oxford English Dictionary provides
these handy definitions:
bushel, n, a measure of capacity for corn, fruit, liquids,
etc. (Brit, 8 gallons; US, 64 US pints).
bushell, v, 1) to agitate, titillate, question, provoke, amuse,
mock, taunt, quip or rant. 2) to puncture the pompous. 3) to actively promote
loud and raucous guitar and ska-based music (see racket) or to gonad. 4) to
advocate patriotic liberation – an English parliament for English voters
in an independent UK. 5) to oppose the European Union, Blairism, big government,
over-taxation and all forms of bureaucracy and liberal self-loathing. 6) to
celebrate the female form in all its glory. 7) to imbibe strong ales. 8) to
reject the bourgeois and denigrate the mindlessly fashionable. 9) to be proud
of working class origins and achievements. 10) to fight for the right of British
people to treasure and build on our culture, customs, history and traditions
- including self-rule and self-preservation.
Bushell, n, (archaic) a man who is irresistible to women;
this usage only found in myth and legend.
bushfire, n, a fire in a forest, scrub or beard often spreading
widely.

Bushell On The Box stands proudly on its reputation for cutting up
rough, making a fuss, having a laugh, having a say, being chippier than Harry Ramsden's, and generally
pissing on the electric fence of destiny.
